Forest Story

Overview: This is a poker design illustration project. This project includes a deck of 54 cards’ illustration design, a poker box and a bag. For the poker illustrations I use 4 different plants and colors to distinguish the 4 suits. The plants are cornflower, poppy, bird of paradise and white dahlias. Face cards and Jokers are combined with different animals, the animals are wolves, leopards, lions and owls. I also use plant elements around them as well. The big joker is more colorful, while the plants on the card have flowers. The small joker's card on the plant is no flower. Each illustration has a similar outline design which looks like a frame, with plants spreading out from these frames, the cards will look more balanced. The back of the card is consistent with a monochrome illustration of plant. For the box packaging I also used four different flowers to apply for design. I called this deck of cards Forest Story which fits the theme as the plants and animal elements I designed in this project.
